2 The Max is Maxi's last album (before the next!). Maxi started writing some songs of this album in 2004.
The album starts with Maxi's 2004 hit Believe In Love (Drop Leaf Riddim), a Reggae song. The video of this album was turned in Brixton with a young Rasta-boy who walks with the song.

Whatever my eyes can see, my heart can feel that's why I believe in love.

The second song, There's Nothing Like This, is a 1999 Omar hit.
This song is a mix of Reggae, R'N'B, Soul and Jazz Music.

There's nothing like this, no one could ever have what we have, there's nothing like this...

Tender Touch is a Reggae duet with Andrea Martin.

Hero To Zero is a R'N'B track. Maxi showed again his talent to sing R'N'B songs. The guitar plays in this song.

Ah hero to zero, sunshine to stormy weather, I was the number like there's no more together...

Fields is Maxi's second hit. This song was a Sting's hit. The video of this pretty Soul song was turned in Cuba:

This song is just like the clip, it is a ballad...

Full Hundred is one of my favorite track. This is also a Reggae song.

I'm giving a full hundred... I give you one hundred per cent of love...

Sweat A' Go Buss is another Reggae song featuring Maxi's friend Beres Hammond. The Maxi Mix of this song is the last track of the album.

Cry For The Children is a Roots Reggae song. Maxi proved us with this Reggae song that he was still able to give the Reggae message. It has a conscious message.

Like I Do is also a Reggae song and it is my favorite track on the album. This is a fabulous love song.

Nobody is gonna love you like I do, nobody is gonna give the love I give to you...

Wildfire is a Reggae song written by Dennis Brown. Maxi's song version is a mix of Reggae, Soul and Jazz Music.

Girl your love is like wildfire, spreadin' all over the world...

The 11th song is Wild World, Maxi's 1987/1988 big hit!! (written by Cat Stevens). Maxi sang it differently. He sang it with Wyclef Jean (who played the guitar), this time it was an accoustic version.

Maxi's last album before this one was CombiNation in 1999 (he did other albums after CombiNation but they were compilations). The CombiNation album had no Reggae songs (except Golden Lady and Tell Your Man To Take A Walk that had Reggae riddims). This album only had R'N'B songs.
In 2 The Max, Maxi sang Reggae songs mixed with R'N'B music but we can say this album is a Reggae one. Fans thought that Maxi wouldn't play Reggae anymore but Maxi proved the opposite with 2 The Max.

Maxi did this album to celebrate his 20 years of career!

-1985-2005-

This album will take you to Summertime thanks to the love songs and the ballads...
