You've got the BEST OF ME, more than I can give, in every part of me, just for you I live!

This album is Maxi's first best of. Best Of Me is a hit song from 1990 and also the title of this album!! What a nice title for a best of!

It's the best of of his songs, all his hits from 1985 to 1990 (with brand new hits from 1991!)

This best of with this cover (above) is the first Maxi Priest album I bought. I bought it in July 2004, in a trip to Ireland, in Dublin in HMV. When I saw it, it was the first time I saw a Maxi Priest album. I hadn't been listening to him for a long time (remember I listened to him in the car with my aunt and mom when I was so young!) so I decided to buy it for my mother (I was alone there in Ireland with a teacher and a group of students). I had to find a good present for her so I said to myself it was an excellent gift! And it was a best of!! Reading the titles on the back of the CD, I recognized some songs my mother enjoyed and listened that were from the MAXI album. So, I bought it and my mother enjoyed the gift!

Another version of the BEST OF ME was done in March, 1st, 2004 with exactly the same titles:



In this album are the hits I Know Love and Housecall. Maxi did a song with Shabba Ranks (Housecall) in 1991 that appeared on a single. It was recorded in New York for Shabba's "As Raw As Ever" album, it was recorded and written in 4 days! It was a top 40 UK hit and was a big Pop Record in the US.



I Know Love with Tiger didn't appear on the BONAFIDE album but was included in the UK single package of Close To You. This is a Reggae song.



On BEST OF ME, Maxi changed some songs like Wild World How Can We Ease The Pain which was an Adam Mosely Mix. Just A Little Bit Longer, Best Of Me and Peace Throughout The World were also remixed. The version of Peace Throughout The World is different.



This best of is a mix of Maxi's Reggae and Pop songs from the middle of the eighties to the start of the nineties.
